Familia, yes, I’m feeling you. I have Javonte Williams on several teams, including both teams in our Familia leagues. Nothing you can do except make the hard cut and pick up someone else (unless you’re in a dynasty league). The season is not done. I’ve seen it happen where people lost the #1 overall pick and still came back to win it all.

It’s Week 3, and how are we already dealing with all these injuries? Justin Herbert’s availability from a rib cartilage injury made the Chargers-Jaguars line cut in half from -7 to -3.5 for the home Chargers as we await the final inactives for the late games Sunday.

Who’s still feeling like Zach Galifianakis in The Hangover? I know I felt so great about some of my DFS takes, and only a few of the worked out. Full disclosure, I feel like these first few weeks are my DFS training camp, as we get a larger sample size of information on the players and their teams. There are things I pick up watching the games that I file away for when it’s time to break down the next week, but until there’s more time invested and games played that I feel most comfortable for the remainder of the season. Usually by the end of Week 4 I’m ready for the whole season.

I get it. We wait seven months for real NFL games to return, and when we get them, it’s like Saul and Mike dragging $7 million across the desert in that Better Call Saul episode. You’re so thirsty, though not as thirsty so as to go to the measures those two went to hydrate in the episode. Fans of the show are now squirming at the recollection.

The overall numbers looked great for the Cowboys. The #2 passing offense, with Dak Prescott as the overall QB7 in fantasy. Ezekiel Elliott with another 1,000-yard year, even though he was battling a knee injury much of the season. CeeDee Lamb took a big step forward and surpassed 1,000 yards for the first time. Add to it that the Cowboys won the NFC East. So on paper it looked good.
